  • CCA and PPI Advice

One of the debts I have been repaying was taken out in 1997 and has recently been passed from Intrum Justitia to Arden. I asked them to prove the debt. After a few weeks, I have now received a copy of the original agreement which seems to have all the necessary information listed so I will have to go back to them and request account numbers etc from them so that I can set up a payment.

However, now that they have sent the agreement I noticed that PPI is listed on the paperwork and I wonder if I have any claim here? I realise it is back to 1997 but it's just with it not being closed yet.
    Any advice please.

      Hi and welcome

In my view as you did not realise you were even paying for ppi, then yes it's a possible reclaim.

So basically it may have been added automatically without your knowledge, or yet assumed part of the loan package.

To make a reclaim the questionnaire below is the one you complete, send to the business/bank who arranged your loan (do not worry about the year), you have the agreement to prove this and for that they should deal with it.

I have been successful in making reclaims even from the mid 90's, so no worries there I don't think.

Keep a copy or 2 in case you need to refer back to it again at some point.

Below is some useful details of understanding ppi and calculations posted up by our Turbo, very useful indeed.

Ask for further help if required, good luck.

Good one. Because if there is any ppi, surprising how much the balance will come down once its removed.

          Good luck.
