  • Melbourne mortgages advice,please.

Hi i am new to site, hope i have posted in right area.

Help needed- owed these people arrears of £1000,

Paid off arrears only to be informed that in charges and daily
interest we now owe £2300 and climbing.
How do i formally challenge these charges and what can i do
to stop 8phone calls per day from these people.

As i said i am new and really lost, i would be greatful if someone
could advice of the best way forward.

    Thankyou

    Hi Social Club

    Welcome to Legal Beagles :beagle:

Have a read of this thread:
    Melbourne Mortgages

A little bit more details on the charges and interest would help.

Have you submitted a Data Protection SAR to get all info they hold on you including a detailed breakdown of charges and interest?

"Although scalar fields are Lorentz scalars, they may transform nontrivially under other symmetries, such as flavour or isospin. For example, the pion is invariant under the restricted Lorentz group, but is an isospin triplet (meaning it transforms like a three component vector under the SU(2) isospin symmetry). Furthermore, it picks up a negative phase under parity inversion, so it transforms nontrivially under the full Lorentz group; such particles are called pseudoscalar rather than scalar. Most mesons are pseudoscalar particles." (finally explained to a captivated Celestine by Professor Brian Cox on Wednesday 27th June 2012 )

Hi and welcome to Legal Beagles

We are also with Melbourne as well and got partial refunds of our charges.

Sent a SAR (Subject Access Request) with £10 to get all the statements, details of all charges and amounts and all other information held on our account. I do have a Melbourne thread which I will find for you. ****Melbourne Mortgages-help Needed

They returned the £10 fee for the SAR but still provided me with everything required.

I then wrote a letter before action stating that I wanted a return of all fees etc unless they could breakdown and demonstrate to me how they got to their exhorbitant fees.

The fees they won't reduce are any legal fees, but general fees, late payments, letters etc.... I did get the charges reduced substantially. I maybe could have gone further to the FOS or the courts but felt it was not worth it. I do not have time now as we are away on our Beagles weekend but when I get back I will certainly give you the SAR that I sent and the the letter before action which they did reduce the charges albeit not as much as I would have liked but good enough to bring the debt down.

I always find with Melbourne that if you are going to be late with a payment, then you should always keep in touch with them as long as you let them know and then keep to payments in a timely manner they are ok.

        thank you folks,

I have my starting point, my fear is i dont want to
let them off by not asking the right questions.

These people use technical langauge that frightens
ordinary mortals. i will take one step at a time.

        (1) I will send a SAR,thanks to you folks i know what this
means. and will ask all the relevent questions.

Will keep this thread going and will keep people updated to
        the response from Melbourne.

        Regards

This is my SAR for you amend or add to it where you wish but it is a fully comprehensive one.

Melbourne sent my £10 back so lets see what they do with you.

          Good luck
