  • Please Read, It Will Cheer Your Tuesday Up

As you all know i have been hounded by continuous calls regarding a paid bill (it was paid, we checked the bank they recieved it friday)
Some days I was recieving so many I was getting friends to answer the phone so i could at least have a cup of coffee! It was that bad the baby took to handing me his toy phone and saying Ring Ring!!

On Monday, armed with the knowlege Legal Beagles gave me, I faced the company up
I mentioned Legal Beagles and the advisor put the phone down.

it is now Tuesday morning, 930am, have just had a telephone call from the manager of the call centre of GE Money who wanted to discusss the "terrible and unacceptable level of harrassment" I had undergone.

Now, I'm from North London and I was raised with cockney parents, so I said yes, I havent been able to go to the loo without hearing MAM!! PHONE!! It's illegal, immoral and as call centre staff dont get to wander round as much it possibly IS making them fat! You can get fined 20k for it, so.. how much are you going to compensate me?

    He's ringing me back!!

I would advise ANYONE in this situation to quote Legal Beagles in their disputes and watch how fast the big boys back down!

    Thanks for EVERYTHING guys!!

I hope this brings smiles to the faces of everyone whos helped me so far, and I have spoken to George about it, IF we do get compensation from this company, we would like to donate half to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance in the name of Legal Beagles, with your kind permission. :beagle:

    Thanks again

    Hello Puff,

Obviously, the name of Legal Beagles is getting to be known in the right places and is having the right effect. A fine and conviction for harassment against the name of a company like GE Money isn't going to do it's reputation much good and, to be honest, the regulators wouldn't be too impressed either. I'm really pleased GE Money have stopped the harassment and they're now trying to resolve the matter. Let us know how things develop.

I most definatly will I have also reccomended you to my sister who is going through hell with the benefits agency who left her without a penny from 12.12.11 to 20.1.12 due to a "unavoidable technical fault" and will not refund her a penny of any monies incurred..

Theres a nice little one for you to get your canines in to (geddit???)

        Hi Puffy,

Tell your sister to find out if there is a branch of the Claimant's Union where she lives. They can help with problems associated with benefits. Alternatively, she could contact CAB.

If your sister was due to benefit for the period you mention and DWP are refusing point-blank to pay arrears, then the two bodies I have mentioned should be able to help.

            Dear Legal Beagles

I am delighted inform you that I received a lovely letter from the Yorkshire Air Ambulance thanking Legal Beagles for their kind donation of £150.
I doesnt seem a lot but, especially here, there works is vital and as the total compensation was £150 (4 months payments) we decided the ambulance staff could use it to save a few more lives.

Please keep and eagle eye on Helicopter Heroes as YAA tend to put up names of people who give more than about £50.

            Thanks again
