File it under I until they can be bothered to actually identify what this relates to.
A DCA acting for another DCA has exactly ZERO legal authority or powers to do anything..

Probably best to send the SB letter to put an end to things, but it really doesn't matter at the end of the day - if it is SB they cannot make you pay.

Sorry, I was being a fast-fingered-freddie and hit the send button too quickly.

Its yes, send, then ignore everything thereafter.

Be prepared for this to do the rounds of various DCA, it's how AK operate. I suggest you don't have anything to do with BC&W's. Go straight to AK with your response letter. They will try to fob you off and tell you you MUST deal with BC&W's. Don't take any notice, it's AK who are pulling the strings and referring this alleged debt to their pet monkeys.

In your response to AK i suggest you remind them of the terms placed upon them by the OFT some time ago re:harassing people who dispute a debt, especially when they know they can't enforce it!!. Also tell them you will report them to the OFT and seek compensation through the FOS if they persist.

You hold all the aces, don't be bullied.
