  • trying to block my house from Provident loans

Can anyone help me, my husband keeps going behind my back and getting loans from the provident which he then doesn't pay back! I then find out about it from people knocking at the door or letters coming through the post so its then left to me to pay.

Is there any way I can block the Provident from giving any loans from my address?

You could try contacting their office and explaining whats going on, with any luck they will have a way of stopping any further applications for credit. Have you tried talking to your hubby and asking him why he's doing it ?

Oh how I wish this would happen. Sadly, Prov are so money hungry they will lend over and over again, totally irresponsibly, under the pretence of helping. When I got married, my wife, who's sole income was Income Support, had more than £9000 in loans from Provident. I settled with them for about 3K if I remember correctly, but only after much argument (I didn't know anything about consumer issues then either).
