    Plenty bonus for them.
    Sadly, from the non-empowered.

    Keep the faith!

I believe this may even be illegal and punishable by up to two years in gaol.

I mean to raise this with Consumer Direct, as I owe those dolts precisely nothing and hence am unable to take part despite them declaring that - link:
Eligibility: this offer is open to all UK residents aged 18 years or over.
Moreover, their statement "This promotion is not a lottery, competition or prize draw" may not necessarily be sufficient to comply with the Lotteries and Amusements Act 1976 - link - section 1 of which doth state:
All lotteries which do not constitute gaming are unlawful, except as provided by this Act and section 2(1) of the National Lottery etc. Act 1993.
However, if the promotion also contained some test of skill - such as completing a sentence in 17 words or fewer - then it should be quite legal.

Any ideas for appropriate tests of skill?

How about: "I want to give all my money to Lowells because.........." ?

Or, more sensibly, "Lowells are called the Leeds losers because ............." ?

Poor old Lowells are only trying to help you rogue debtors out by offering you wonderful Christmas Pressies that you can share with your families and all you can do is criticise them. What has the world come to when a reputable company such as this makes a genuine offer and all you guys can do is make fun of them. Andy Bartle is paying for this promotion himself you know. He has had to cut down on his winter sun break to the Carribean to pay for this publicity stunt. Shame on you all.

In reality this stunt is probably costing them peanuts. The so called pressies can be seen in most newspapers every day.

I agree Peter. Andy Bartle and Jimmy Cornell spent a lot of time at the 19th hole of ******** Golf club dreaming up this fantastic giveaway and the fools on here cannot understand their generosity

That's why it's an illegal lottery.
