Re: more lowell and littlewoods trouble

    Hi
Maybe you need to send CPTUR letter thats on this thread if you got a CCA with no signature or you could put the account in dispute because you believe what they sent you is not what you asked and see where that takes you

Golly, God damn it Goddammit what. No deed indeed, and I am afraid thou shalt not receive it short of going to court.

Winner dear chap, I believe you intended to scribe a Computer letter. Dyslexia is a frightful affliction, I do sympathise with you.

Labman my friend, what is an OC and a DCA. Speak English man - too many abbreviations confuse us oldies, especially after the port at luncheon. Would you believe one fellow in the club tried to pass it to the right. Honestly, some youngsters these days have no etiquette. To the right indeed, shocking.

Re: more lowell and littlewoods trouble

Goddamit, I've just had 5 years of Lowells and Barclaycard. I oiginally offered to pay a reduced rate, but they were having none of it. So I asked for my CCA, got everything except the original. Refused to accept it and told them that until such time that they supply it, the account is in dispute. In September this year it became statute barred (5 years in Scotland). At that time they tried once more, I ignored them.
Lowells are like being gummed by a toothless lion. It's uncomfortable but not a real threat.

Very sweet of them. I'd pay them exactly the same amount and attention as you paid their dear friends Lowells. :beagle:

You are only getting a reduction offer as they haven't got a signed CCA. They will do anything to tempt you into paying something. They've tried scaring you, that didn't work, so now it's time to sweet talk you. Anything to get something out of you.
Lowells will then probably sell the debt onto someone else who will try scaring you, but hopefully once you inform them the debt is in dispute, they will pass it back to Lowells, who will then periodically send you threatening letters which you can then just ignore.

By the way I say Lowells as I consider Red to be the same company.

How can one have any respect for a company that calls itself "Hamptons"?

Have they never heard of rhyming slang (link) or were they just being uncharacteristically honest?
