  • College increase fees payment a registration

Can any of you bright sarks help me here ?
My stepson has just enrolled on a college course or games design over two years . At the registration day not having the correct paprwork we agreed a fee for the course with £150 payable today and the remaining £100 ponds due by the end of october (a struggle but findable). Mt stepson returned from college today with the specail arrangement payment plan form altered. (when we went in yesterday he signed agreed arrangement and total fees payable ) . We now have to find an additional £215 by the end of october as they gave us the wrong details at the time . On the enrollement letter which had come previously the fees are stated coorectly.
I need tim to find the extra money as the college have doubled the outsanding amount . does anyone know where we stand legally and can you give any good advice.

Sadly I think you'll find that there's a cop out clause for them over fees either in their own policies or in legislation somewhere.

However, if you have it in writing from the induction day, then you may be able to negotiate some extra time to pay it, as what they published to you is incorrect and misleading. At the end of the day you can't conjur money up out of nowhere.
