Re: Lowells - Help needed please

In my case their imaginary payment was made when I wasn't even in the UK. Better than that it was allegedly made on a Sunday. I begged them to take me to Court but alas they wouldn't

I know they are great like that.
When they had my Cap1 account I was very close to taking them to court as the charges where over FOUR times the alleged debt.
Surprisingly enough, they dropped me like a ton of bricks and handed it back to Cap1

It never ceases to amaze me, how consumers panic when they receive a statement of account from a DCA!

Under the CCA 2006, fully implemented 30 October 2008, post contractual statements must be sent out yearly. This statutory requirement commenced 30 October 2008.
Post-contract information - The Office of Fair Trading

Please, do not panic when you receive a periodic statement!

In Mrs. James case, did you make an SAR?
£10.00 for a SAR would appear to fit the bill for the implied payment?

            Hi Angry Cat.

No, I've never made a SAR.

Re: Lowells - Help needed please

              Hi Guys,

Just an update on this. This morning I've received a letter from Mackenzie Hall, very kindly offering me a reduced settlement offer, lol. The offer nearly halves the alleged amount they say I owe.

They have given me until the 13th to pay this or they 'will not hesitate to take such further action as may be appropriate'

Any advice as to my next step would be greatly appreciated.

Once Muck Hall get hold of it you know you have one. You will get a few stupid text messages sent to your phone as well as a couple of threatomatics designed to look like pay cheques then they will crawl back under their stone

Received another letter today from the 'lovely peeps' at Mackenzie Hall. Apparently as I've been naughty enough to not contact them (despite repeated efforts on their part for me to do so lol ) They may now have no other option but to do a DOORSTEP ASSESSMENT by one of their field collectors Meritforce.

Alternatively. they may issue a claim against me in my Local Court.

The letter has been duly 'filed' :tung:

They may send MeritFARCE to you door as the two companies are connected. In the highly unlikely event that they do

                        1. Tell the muppet to leave our property and DO NOT get involved in any discussion with them whatsoever.
                        2. Attempt to photograph or video the sad git
                        3. Take a note of the registration number of any vehicle he or she may be using
                        4. Phone your local cop shop and report a suspcious caller (DO NOT USE 999)

Yes boss I did a doorstep assessment and the doorstep in question was chipped and the paint was peeling badly.

                              What about the debt?

                              What debt?

Where do I get these people? o0

Scratches backside, I see they haven't paid then? ok then send another letter and add the words "or else", that should do the trick

Not scared eh? I bet that bloody Curlyben is behind it? ok then hire that private detective Colombo, erm boss he's on a TV program.

Looks like we screwed then, so no donuts this week lads
