I know I'm in debt to hbos, and orange, but I don't know who they're collecting for.

One - can someone clarify it is a prove it letter I need to send?

Two - does an email count as communication in writing?

I'm sorry, I'm not very good at starting threads. My total debt is under £1000.

I worked out a little while ago it can't be for orange.

Robinson way were harassing me on behalf of hbos until a few weeks ago then they mysteriously stopped. And westcot started. And having just come across s very recent letter from direct legal and collections, on behalf of orange, they're either chancing their luck or I'm being bounced around the park like hbos' football...

I have had MANY dealings with rob way and westcot and they go hand in hand with each other which includs HBOS, I can't comment about orange tho as have had no dealings with them or who they use for a DCA/In house DCA

Have any of them actually threatened legal action yet? ?

Yes, I believe rob way, another standard may. It hasnt happened yet and it was weeks ago now, least two to three months.

Of late, most Orange debts have been heading to Arrow Global.

I was very scared up until a couple of months ago. My support worker (I have MH issues) phones cab for me and I spoke to her for a bit myself. She backs up what you just said and since then I've relaxed for the most part.

So I guess I wait it out for now and see if they track me down at my new address?

Debt and MH issues go hand in hand. Do you realise if you contact the site team there's a forum especially for people who suffer from this. Might be worth pm'ing and asking for access, though you may need a few posts under your belt first, I'm not sure.

DCA's have no more power than me to come asking for your money, so you honestly have no need to be scared of them. I've been through literally being physically sick each morning waiting for the post as I was so scared of what would come through the letterbox, now I don't mind what the post holds in store as I'm much more informed!

As Casper says no need to be scared by them

In my view they are only good for one thing and thats

I personally think they would make more money selling their letters for toilet paper LOL

Even if they did sell their letters as toilet paper, people would still try to take them to court, simply because people don't like their arses to be lacerated with paper cuts!
