  • Credit solutions(Cap 1)

    Hi
After not hearing from the above in nearly a year I had a letter yesterday with a once in a lifetime offer of 50% F&F I wish I could do it
But my question is why are they doing this if CAP 1 insist my recon CCA is legit and no payments have been made in a year (not through want of trying Cap 1 refused my payment and Credit solutions never bothered getting in touch)
So whats my next best move

    Re: Credit solutions(Cap 1)

They're doing it simply because they can afford to. They must have bought the debt for less than the settlement and still be making sufficient profit from you. This annoys me as it means the OC has now written the debt off against tax, so effectively the debt is being paid twice!

As regards your next move, if you've proof you tried to pay Cap One and they refused payment (likely if they've assigned it in absolute as it would be nothing to do with them) and Credit Solutions have done nothing, I assume Credit Solutions have had a Prove It letter - if not send them one. If they've had one and not been in contact, you honestly have nothing at all to say to them until they say something purposeful to you.
