Can we clarify that first loan picture 23 says 17.8% and the more recent one says 16.7%.

Please can someone tell me what I'm missing(and be polite, lol!!!)

            Re: Poochie and WFS Summary

we just found last loan agreement they wanted us to sign ánd interest rate was 20.5% which was higher than original loan agreement
they also wanted us to agree to charges like £25 for each fonecall which we wont because they used to fone us and not leave message but we got charged for them fonin anyways. Also they used to send one letter each to us when we requested one letter in joint names coz both letters were identical anyways but they charged us for 2 letters each time...... no thanks, we not agreein to silly charges like that.

              Re: Poochie and WFS Summary

Ok so original loan agreement was 17.8%(the one with PPI etc, etc ,that you were claiming on) is that right?

Furthermore, it would be worth asking the FOS with regards to the issue of charges for silent calls because Welcome did not clarify that charges thing.

The resign at the hig-her rate sounds like a typical welcome trick . I don't know how to caalculate apr but there were two things that used to happen in disputed cases like this . . 1) a new agreement was sent out at a higher interest rate so tha welcome made back on the loan the lost comission for the ppi . 2)the second was that the interest rate was reduced to 1% per month . Soounds like what they've done is the first . Serves welcome right for getting rid of its trained debt recovery teams with powers to immediatly resolve things and use half trained chimps instead .

                  Re: Poochie and WFS Summary

Been following Pooches as Welcome have tried the same tactics with us.
PPI upheld but no copy document and APR was different
Inability to provide documents regrding alleged loan
Financial Stement that said APR was 1%
FOS have said they cannot look into to this as it happened pre 2005 but they can look at PPI.
Seems we have to deal with Welcome who now say we have to deal with a company clled Incasso but no reply from them and no CCA received.
                  Its a mess
Poochie I really hoe you get it sorted and all the others who are having to deal with this bunch of ..................(sorry do not want to swear)

All the loan documents should be on welcomes digital image storage system Called DIP . There were two different systems and if you have had the loan rewritten at any time then it could easily ahve got lost . If you have any original documents you should have a customer number not a loan number this SHOULD is say SHOULD allow them to find your details . Sometimes these things take some searching but with change of systems in 2007 lots of staff couldn't find stuff at all .

                              Re: Poochie and WFS Summary

Rate of Interest agreement 1 is 17.8%
Rate on second agreement is 16.7%

However is this agreement backdated? Is this agreement to replace the original one?

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that the second agreement imho is replacing the original one is at a slightly better rate however the interest rate I have calculated the loan to be is 50.7% currently.
I've worked out that the amount of interest on the loan is £16453.00.

The next question is how much is now outstanding?
If you've paid for 4 years £278.15 then you would have paid: 13351.2 leaving roughly 6 years worth of loan left and about 20k outstanding. PPI would be c. 3k albeit you would have paid less than half but they would need to include interest and 8% on that.
If it goes through the FSCS then it's 90% and the money goes onto the loan meaning that the loan would end roughly 10 months earlier.

where does the 20.5% interest come form then that we see?

im just totally confused by it all and want it to end......
