does anyone have a contact number for capquest? they contacted my ex regarding a debt of mine (although never disclosed anything other than my name, unfortunately), and as far as i was aware they were a debt management company, so it looks like i've got a debt i can get the balance and original paperwork from.

i'd like to find out what debt this one is, and how much the balance is.

    thanks in advance.

Instead of contacting them, I would be inclined to check my credit file first. This should (if there is actually a debt under six years old) identify any outstanding accounts. Far better to be armed with information before contacting any DCA.

Also, I would suggest never contacting any DCA by phone, if they get hold of your telephone number they'll never leave you alone!!!

In which case simply Google them for their contact details, I'm sure they'll be delighted to talk to you.:target:

Capquest are not a debt management company - they are a debt collection agency and one of the dirtiest. If you give them any details about yourself, they will hound you incessantly. All they have is your name which means they are phishing to see if it is your debt or not - they don't know. They will be phishing everyone with your name and will land it on the first person they can find. Do not contact them.
