  • repayments and no job, help needed

    Hi all

there is a small chance that come end of July i will be out of work:tinysmile_cry_t:

i will not receive redundancy pay as i work on a temp basis
and hubby will have to keep me as i wont get jsa, he only has his Fire Service pension

now in the past all my creditors have been paid on a pro rata basis from joint income, cccs said this had to be many years ago
    so my questions are

1, can i offer them £1, explaining that my hubby is making this payment as i have no incomeof my own
2, Do i just write to hubbys lot and tell them wife not working no income and make reduced pro rata offers

    any one help x

Are you paying your debts through CCCS now?

no they helped us to sort out innitial repayments, but i have done every thing for last 9years, as we owed so much they wanted us to sell the house to pay the debts, but that would have left us homeless and skint

If you are paying agreed amounts to the people you owe then all I can suggest is that you do an I&E sheet (which they will want anyhow ) and see if they will accept a reduction in what you are paying.
Another option is go back to CCCS or Payplan they are both free as you probably know.
You don't give a lot of info as to your situation but if you are struggling with your mortgage and Council Tax they are your priorities and need to be addressed first.
