Hi dont know if anybody can help I have been contacted by Graham White Solicitors regarding a overdraft that my daughter has. She has not lived at home for 3 years and is currently living abroad. They are threating to take me to court over the payment whic isnt even mine can anybody advise me on what to do Thanks

Unless you signed a guarantee or similar it's not your debt they cant chase you for it. Write to them and tellthem its harassment record any telehpone conversations and then complian. It'sharassment and a breach of DPA todiscuss anotherpersons account. Stand firm they can't sue you for a debt tat isnt yours . They bluff and bluster but inhe end its not yoour debt so do't pay anything.
You may have acase forcomplainig to Fos and to data registar . ALso write nd complain. Remeber therules . DOn' t talk to them on the phone ,
Keep all correspondence,
send replies by recorded deliver and keep copies.
Don't pay bills that aren't yours.
Don't panic , I'm sure some more knowledable members of the oums will be along shortly to give more advice .
