Hiya...i received a very official looking letter in the post today from the above DCA.....it wasnt until i did a google that i understood what it was...although not as the case may be...they have not put on any details of any debt i owe..to be honest the only one i can remember is from years ago...an old catalogue but it much be over 10 years???

The letter wanted me to confirm who i am regarding a personal matter etc etc...reading a few posts it looks like its just a standard first response letter??

Is the best thing to ignore or reply to them??

Whats the next step??

File ANY and ALL communications from Mucky Hall under IGNORE,

They specialise in demands for statute barred and unenforceable debts.,
They WILL threaten all sorts, but do NOT respond to them as it only encourages them

Indeed sounds like they are on a fishing exercise to extract info on an SB debt do as Ben says

Dont forget if a nice merit force agent visits you, the same applies, tell them to sling there hook and advise them they will be tresspassing on there return! (template letter somewhere here in the forum to throw in there face if you wish!

Merit force still owe me commission on work i did for them as a doorstep agent, they didnt like my protests against there practice of breaching DPA and trying to collect unenforcable debts, so i jacked it in. Eventually i may just file a claim on them myself...
