    I HAVE HAD A LETTER FROM MY EMPLOYER REQUESTING I SIGN A RELEASE FOR INFORMATION TO BE SENT TO CHANTRY COLLECTIONS

    I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT THIS DEBT AND ILL LEAVE THAT FOR THE MOMENT BUT ITS THE CONTACTING OF PERSONEL IME MORE INTERESTED IN

    Blimey they have broke every rule in the book with that, have a read here then fire off that complaint letter to the OFT and FSA

        By referring to you as a "defendant" when they have not issued any court proceedinmgs against you soundextremely dubious. I am no legal expert but is this libel?e

          Not enough people complain about DCAs. I did it big style after winning my own settlements.

          For good measure, also complain to your MP, tradfimng standards, local nespaper, etc. The more the better. Include full comntact details of the DCA and the personm who wrote the letter, plus DFirector's details.

              The danger with a defamation claim is that there is no legal aid and if the claim does not go your way the other sides costs will be high and you would be liable for these.

              Might also be wise to consider how many people saw this, after all sending this to your personnel department is not the same as publishing it in a national newspaper.

              What damage (financial loss) have you actually suffered as a result of this?
