    Then why don't you do as Curly is doing on other threads and show him the reason he is wrong.

      Because, if the parties friend at Cabot has passed all his/her Compliance tests, the he should know;
      DCA's notch up extra bonus points when they are Compliance au fait.

      I am not on here to school DCA's;
      Let them look it up!

        Re: Cabot and me

        Sorry Amy but he has been pointed correctly in the direction of the Statutes, Regulations, Statutory Instruments, judgments and histories concerned here and elsewhere by AC and CB. It is a pointless exercise to keep posting up the complete judgements actually on thread making unnecessary clutter. He has to read, research, learn and if necessary pay for professional advice like many of us are and have had to do. Like literally not eat properly for a couple of months to get the solicitors fees together as in our own cases.

        He has been shown here and elsewhere where his statements are wrong yet he persists in undermining the correct information which I personally find annoying and dangerous to the position of others and it is clear Curlyben and AC find the same as well.

        He has made suggestions which are both dangerous and detrimentary to a consumers case for example telling people to phone Cabot. This flies completely in the face of everything that is advised on here and elsewhere. He has been pointed not only by CB to the whole judgement he is trying to use but to the specific clauses in that judgment by me. His chronology is completely incorrect as has been pointed out initially politely to him, he clearly knows nothing of the background or the intent/purpose of the case, yet tritely quotes "DCA speak" on the subject.

        I am sorry if you are offended by this but some of us have been trying to educate the poor soul, in vain it would seem. Everything hinges on what "his mate" at Cabot says. Not exactly a reliable source I think you have to agree if you look even in the most cursory fashion at the exploits of Cabot published just here alone.

        In my own field of experience (and minor success) he has made statements on settlements in F & F which will almost certainly leave the alleged debtor facing troubles and possibly very expensive litigation in the future or even an attack on whatever estate the alleged debtor may eventually leave. He was pointed in the direction of my own treatise on the subject as well as Cetelco's plus asked to look at others experiences by using the forum search engine. If that is not trying to educate and help someone then please explain to me what is?

        regards
        Garlok

          Debt is now deemed statute barred, but I,m still none the wiser as to how this all began.
