    Well, we had a "Home Visit" from a Moorcroft agent for someone that doesn't even live at my address.

    While the gent was pleasant enough, he breached a number of data protection and collection guidelines.

    Worst of all where the veiled threats of further visits for other agents.

    My wife answered the door to him as I was at work, of course she knows how to deal with these people, but the experience left her rather shaken.
    Once she explained what had happened I gave Moorcroft threat monkeys a call and read them the riot act.

    A recent complaint raised by you regarding one of our representatives has been brought to my attention. I am a member of the Compliance department of this company and it is part of our role to deal with concerns of this kind.

    Firstly, I would like to thank you for advising us, that the account holder does not reside at the above address. Please be reassured that based upon this new information we have closed this account on our systems and you will receive no further contact from us regarding this matter.

    With regard to the concerns raised regarding our representative, I would like to assure you that we take matters of this nature extremely seriously. All our agents at Moorcroft are required to follow a stringent code of practice when dealing with members of the public and are given full training and where any breach of procedure is identified further training and support is given. I can confirm that our House Collect Manager will conduct and investigation into this matter with the agent in question and will make any necessary recommendations for the implementation of additional training, support or disciplinary action where it is required. I hope that you can appreciate that in line with the Data Protection Act I am unable to give details of any specific action taken against and individual employee however be assured behaviour of the kind described would not be tolerated under any circumstances.

    Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience that this matter may have caused you and please be reassured, as previously mentioned, this account is now closed on our system and you will receive no further contact from us regarding this matter.

    If you require any further assistance or information in relation to this account please do not hesitate to contact us.

    We would also like to take this opportunity to remind you of the role of the Financial Ombudsman Service (F.O.S) and have enclosed their leaflet along with a copy of our complaints procedure. In the event that you are unhappy with our response to your query, you are entitled to refer this matter to the F.O.S, provided you do so within 6 months of the date of this letter.

    Why would you if it is nothing to do with you surely that is a breach in its self lol
