Hi all silly question coming up
Got a query about DCA if you send a prove it (I did to Scotcal) and they dont respond,is that the end of the matter with them.

Snotcall have a tendency of running away when challenged.

Just wait and see who send you a letter next..

no, because they're tos5ers that routinely ignore our letters. Just make sure you send it recorded as proof of postage.

Yes I did send it recorded their original threat letter just said I owed £4200 to CAP 1 Pay up or xyz will happen think I still need training on DCA and what to expect

They ignore the letters because the simple fact is they cannot read. They only have one brain cell between them and it was on holiday

I dealt with Credit Solutions before Scotcal they were plonkers too !
Maybe I am learning after all

I sent Scotcall a prove it letter about 3 months ago, with a bit in about their doorstep agents not being allowed over my doorstep if they did turn up so politely sod off and don't bother.
As yet I've had NIL further contact from them. So can only presume they've given up.......I'm certainly not losing any sleep about their lack of reply, in fact I'd completely forgotten about them till I read this thread.

Just forgot them until such times as they re-appear which will probably be never.

Does that mean if you dont hear the debt account goes back to the OC then (or it never was sold on in the first place )

Honestly, who knows, it could be a number of things including passing back to OC.
Snotcall have a tendency to act as agents for other DCA's so most likely it's gone back to their "masters".

If all goes quiet after a Prove It, it a case of waiting to see who comes knocking next. Unless you want to be more pro-active and "attack" the OC's head on.

I have a thread running on Credit Cards about all the hassle with CAP 1
Can you shed any light
I did SAR them and got back statements and original application form
Casper reckons its probably unenforceable they know it and thats why they keep passing me around
Oh and I am still paying CAP 1 directly

It seems on checking my bank account today CAP 1 have refused my payment in January 2011 not sure who to pay now any ideas please

Also I must add that there are 2 DCA chasing this debt so who do CAP 1 expect me to pay heard nothing back from prove its whats my next step some one suggested I write to CAP 1 and threaten to report them to the OFT but will they take any notice they have not taken any so far

Hi last payment went in September 2010 to CAP 1 then had complaint held with FOS they asked to have account put on hold which they did
but was still chased by Credit Solutions for a few weeks
FOS complaint expired 15th December
Paid CAP 1 7th January after not been contacted by Credit Solutions or CAP 1
Payment returned 13th January
Then out of the blue i got a letter from Scotcal sent a prove it and have heard nothing since
