  • Am I Screwed?

    Hi All,

Am I screwed for offering Cabot £1 a month online, sending off for my CCA then sending a 2nd letter regarding my CCA stating the account is in dispute?

    Thanks

Have they contacted you accepting the £1 offer?

Yes they have, and they have frozen the interest aswell as I sent the I/E form

The thing is, I sent the second letter on Mon 1st Nov re not receiving the CCA etc...

I didn't pay the £1 which was due on Mon...

Does this mean I'm now wasting my time?

What do YOU want as an outcome of this. Do you want to keep paying £1 per month or for them to consider the account in dispute?

I don't have a problem paying the pound. But because I have missed the payment which was 1st of November and sent a 2nd letter stating account in dispute. They may want to take things further as I've now missed the payment.

I only sent the 2nd letter re the CCA not being received because of advice from on here. I was advised that I am entitled to the CCA and that Cabot are now in dispute for not sending it.

If you're happy paying the pound, send them the pound for this month that you missed plus an exta 50p or £1 as a gesture of goodwill and by way of apology for missing the payment and attach a letter assuring them it won't happen again.

            Hopefully they'll accept this!

The person who advised you is technically correct, but my opinion is, if you're happy with paying £1.00 (well done you for getting that accepted - wish I could!!!!!!) then it's sometimes best to quit while you're ahead.

                As long as you're happy.
