Is the timing of debt collection letters deliberate?

Hi All

Maybe its just me but I have noticed that almost all of the letters I receive from my creditors and DCA's seem timed to be delivered on either a Friday or a Saturday.

Is this deliberate? I cannot help thinking that this timing is intended to upset your weekend, or, as many of these clowns do not open over the weekend, it is intended to make you work up a sweat of worry over the weekend so that when you finally call them on a Monday morning you are so anxious you will agree to anything.

Not that you would call them of course, and I actually look forward to my little installments on a weekend as I now find the contents of the letters quite amusing as they are almost all identical (there must be a threat-o-gram school for boys that they send these companies to).

No real point or anything to this topic - just something I noticed!

Mine seemed to arrive every day. Haven't had one for a couple of weeks though, bit worrying! Checked new credit report today just in case and nothing different since last month (still crap!!!!)

May just be me then!

I don't think it is a 'coincidence' that my letters arrive at the weekend but then as far as DCA's are concerned I am ultra paranoid. Perhaps I credit them with too much intelligence :?)
