    but as the "home visits" are generally just an empty threat as they never turn up anyway........

      Thank you everyone for the comments they are very encouraging and educating!

      i have received another letter basically threatening to pursue the debt, again I have ignored it, I am so grateful to this site I would not f had the courage without Curlyben's advice thank you and i will keep you informed
