    Re: mackenzie hall

DCA's in general are only interested in ONE thing.
I had Thames Credit tell me they could demand payment on a statute barred debt for 20 years !!!

I soon put them right and they dropped me double quick.

Hold fire and wait and see if they can be bothered to write to you again.
After all if they can't be bothered to tell you what they want, why open a dialogue with them.

As you say there's nowt on you CRA files, so it's unlikely to be anything important.

              Re: mackenzie hall

i recieved a letter off Mucky Hall on thursday asking me what i can/cannot afford to payback my credit card what i have coming in each month and going out saying i need to provide this information within five working days im not going to give them any information regarding this as the have no right as i have no proof only a letter saying that i owe this sum which to my reckoning is close on 6 years if not longer , so what advice im asking for is im thinking about sending them the prove it letter also should i send the stat barred letter in the envolope aswell and should i send the recorded delivery .

                Is the first letter received?

Ignore it and see what they do next, sounds like a fishing exercise. Don't encourage them and responding to anything so close to the statute barred limit is not advisable.

                Keep us posted on progress.
"Although scalar fields are Lorentz scalars, they may transform nontrivially under other symmetries, such as flavour or isospin. For example, the pion is invariant under the restricted Lorentz group, but is an isospin triplet (meaning it transforms like a three component vector under the SU(2) isospin symmetry). Furthermore, it picks up a negative phase under parity inversion, so it transforms nontrivially under the full Lorentz group; such particles are called pseudoscalar rather than scalar. Most mesons are pseudoscalar particles." (finally explained to a captivated Celestine by Professor Brian Cox on Wednesday 27th June 2012 )

Yes they do Femmym, but no one ever turns up in 99.999% of cases, so just keep ignoring the letters and if someone does turn up, tell them - "only the postman and person(s) asking for directions may visit my property without prior appointment under common law, as i have not made such an appointment for you to visit my property then i advise you that no license under common law was granted for you to visit my property - as such you are now committing a tort of trespass under common law and are to leave my proptery immediately or i shall call the police and have you charged for tort of trespass". They will soon foxtrot oscar after that.

End of the day they have no legal powers whatsoever to make you pay anything, only a court can do that, but as the debt is likely to be unenforcable or statuted barred then even the courts can not enforce the debt.

How do you know that Oscar wants to foxtrot - or even knows the steps?

Yes - but I believe that one must tell the court that an alleged debt is statute barred or the claimant may obtain judgement in their favour by default.

Mucky Hall do not usually even try to take people to court.

Well thats the fun part - Doorstep collectors can not dance let alone do the foxtrot, so its always fun tell them to do so just to watch them fall flat on there faces, prefereably on to that well placed dog turd lol.

                              Re: mackenzie hall

Here you go, this is the one i use.

                              Name/Address:

                              Date:

                              Dear Sir/Madam

You have contacted me/us regarding the account with the above reference number, which you claim is owed by myself/ourselves.

I/we would point out that I/we have no knowledge of any such debt being owed to (insert company name).

I am/we are familiar with the CPUTR 2008 and the Office of Fair Trading's Guidance on debt collection, which states that it unfair to send demands for payment to an individual when it is uncertain that they are the debtor in question.

I/we would also point out that the OFT say under the Guidance that it is unfair to pursue third parties for payment when they are not liable. AND in not ceasing collection activity whilst investigating a reasonably queried or disputed debt you are using deceptive/and or unfair methods.

Furthermore ignoring and/or disregarding claims that debts have been settled or are disputed and continuing to make unjustified demands for payment amounts to physical/psychological harassment.

I/we would ask that no further contact be made concerning the above account unless you can provide evidence as to my/our liability for the debt in question.

I/we await your written confirmation that this matter is now closed. Otherwise I will have no option but to make a complaint to Trading Standards and also inform the Office Of Fair Trading of your actions.

I/we look forward to your reply.

                              Yours faithfully

Though to be honest i would simply ignore them.
