There are many others on here from that other place who are using different names than they used over on the Lowell sponsored GAG

Its not just the fact that they have sold out to the industry, the actual site itself is now an official ugly eyesore ever since they changed it round....

            Hi Ben

I think the best thing is maybe you pm one of them and ask, its a lot better than a long explanation here and hijacking someones thread.

                Long story short

The management over there banned a lot of people for speaking up when they allowed a member of the Leeds Losers to 'advise' people to ring the threat monkeys in the Leeds Threat Centre. Of course when long established members asked him/her awkward questions these were pulled by the management and the posters privileges removed.

There is a lot more but thats the bare bones of it

because in short how can you proclaim to be helping the consumer if you allow dcas to post on the site oh and those google sponsored ads of cmc etc are against the grain too
If you think nobody cares if you're alive, try missing a couple of payments.

ooh, I love it when the name "H L Legal" crops up.

They really are a bunch of financial arsebandits of the first order. How they can consider themselves a bona fide law firm is beyond me. Take a look at their debt recovery crew:

                    http://www.hllc.co.uk/careers.php

Now, I ask, you, if the munter that heads up their civil debt recovery 'department' isn't a poor substute for Sue Pollard's afterbirth, what is?

"X has an acknowledged expertise in Consumer Credit Law and related litigation with a career spanning more than 16 years. X is committed to ensuring that HL is at the cutting edge of legal recoveries." Cutting edge, yeah, that'd be the knife she uses.

Anyways, not that I'm a bitter person

In fairness to HL legal they only supply the threatomatic (£1+vat) for the DCAs to use.

They have no idea it the threat monkey in the DCA has pressed the right button.

Not even HL would be stupid enough to threaten Bankruptcy for £45

                      or would they

Hi CB, I took a look at their "Rogues Gallery" of mugshots. The first "portrait" was of Rhona Lavender. Can't tell from the name whether it's man or woman, the picture appears to be man with long hair, perhaps a drag artist? Distinctly masculine nevertheless.

The third one was Simon. Looks like the photo was taken in his prison cell.

The other two muppets look like downmarket thirdhand car salemen.

                        Great lineup!
                        Thanks!

                          CAG sold its soul.
The Lowells incident was the final straw for alot of people.
They then change the forum design which just looks like a dogs dinner.

Hi. I was a newbie at CAG before finding this site, so don't know anything about the "Lowells Incident." I keep hearing about it though and I'm sure I'm not the only one who wonders what on earth you are all talking about. What was it and what happened?

As mentioned before - Lowells posted on CAG & touted for business effectivley, anyone who complained about it was either banned or had posting rights removed - some mods even threatened members by PM.
Do not waste any more of your life on CAG - this site & MSE are the ones i bother with now and havent looked back since.

you've only made 10 posts here, ton

anyway, how can a DCA tout for business where debtors are getting advice? DCAs work for the creditors. I don't understand what touting LowLife's could have done? And why would the Mods suport that if they did? Is there some financial connection?
