I took out a personal loan with Welcome Finance about 3 yrs ago for £1000 everything seemed fine made payments every mnth no problems. I then took out a car loan with them on a little 05 corsa, also during this time I had uped my personal loan to about £2000 They said all insurances have been removed please sign here to say you agree with this, . payments went through the roof but I managed it wasnt until about a year after my car purchase that me and my husband split up. I was really struggling went to Welcome finance told them the situation found out that there was ppi and some other kind of life insurance or something on my policy's which I did not request they how ever agreed to remove them for me.I was asked to sign a piece of paper, there was no contract about but there wasnt any other times I went there and it was all a bit of a rush, I signed it they told me no insurances are payable now, which is fair enough as they had removed them. My car payments went down drastically, it wasnt till I missed a couple of payments due to illness and they sent me a Default Notice that I realised what they had done my account now stands at £11, 925!!!! oh yes they cancelled the insurance but re wrote my car loan over 10 yrs I am totally gob smacked is that legal?? surely not.. I have never had an agreement from them for either my car or personal loan dispite many requests for them... Is there anything I can do???:noidea:

Re: Welcome finance nightmare
Well, you need to make it official and make a request for your agreements witha CCA request to kick things off.
Unfortunately, underhand sneakiness appears to have been the name of the game with this shower of eejits, particularly with regards to rewrites.
When they removed the insurances, did they refund what you had already paid, plus interest?
OK, first off, get those agreements. I'm thinking that since they have been so underhand, it might be worth your while getting hold of everything you can, so a SAR might be appropriate. Haved a look here...

This will also give them the opportunity to come up with any agreements they MAY have on file.
See what they come up with, and we'll go from there.
What you need to know about this lot just now is this though; they have been lying and cheating their way through life and are in deep poo. Welcome is on a collection binge to reduce their debt mountain to the banks. They reckon 2 to 3 years, then into administration.

Re: Welcome finance nightmare
Sounds a bit like Black Horse Finance!
Have a look at www.777v666.com - maybe this will give you some inspiration!
Once BH had seen this site they never even showed up at the last court case.
