Re: Virgin Media contract.
Hi Cet.
She's unpluged the box, but is very concerned because they are still billing her for the use of it, and giving her £10 late payment fees.
What is the next step?
Should she just ignor them and hope for the best?
Cheers PO.Nat West 1 £9k settled AQ stage.

Re: Virgin Media contract.
As per earlier posts, she has written to Virgin telling them she no longer wishes their product (believing the contract had expired), only to find they had renewed the contract whilst she used a term and condition of the contract she was entitled to do.
Exercising this entitled term, they have issued a new 12 month contract twice, and now wish to charge her for exercising her rights under the original said agreement.
So basically, because she down graded her package, they issued a new 12 month contract, but in a discuised letter of acknowledgementNat West 1 £9k settled AQ stage.

Re: Virgin Media contract.
We appear to be going round in circles. See posts 9 and 12.
Write to Virgin Media and ask them to provide details of when your sister agreed to enter a new contract. Point out to them that their own terms and conditions provide for the customer to alter the package and this does not by itself create a new contract.
If you want a hand with the letter, post up what you have so far and we can help.

Re: Virgin Media contract.
Many moons ago I had cause to shout at Virgin so in desperation I sent an email to their ceo expecting no reply.
I was stunned to get a response within half an hour (and this was on a saturday night)
As promised someone from the ceos office , a lady called Penny Patchett rang on the following monday and within a couple of hours all the cr*p had been sorted.
Got to be worth going to the top of the tree.
Previous to this I worked for virgin/telewest and a complaint from the CEo`s office
always got top priority
Worth a try do you think ?:tinysmile_hmm_t2:

Re: Virgin Media contract.
I second going to the top. Had a recent experience with a different company who were liable for a situation based on the contract terms, but did not accept liability. No amount of phones/emails would resolve the situation and we were stone walled. Wrote a letter to the man at the top and sent it special delivery (Its funny how secretaries will usually pass special delivery letters, unopened, directly to the top man whereas they screen regular mail and recorded delivery). Phone call back within 2 hour of him receiving it, and a week later a nice apology letter with a 750 quid cheque in it.
Hope you get virgin media sorted. Talking to their call centres will get you nowhere (except bangladesh maybe)Advice given is offered as personal opinion only. I always recommend you seek professional legal advice.
