  • Can a DCA add interest..???

Can a DCA add interest to an account that has been defaulted and sold to them.

I have an account with Link that i was paying until Link took it over two years ago, the first thing that they did was add over £400.00 in interest. I sent a CCA to Link who sent the agreement which does'nt contain a total amount for credit. I pointed this out to Link who went away, i have today recieved a statment and they are still adding interest. I have never recieved a NOA only a letter from Link that says Sale of Your Debt.

They have never tried to enforce this debt it just rears its head every so often.

Unless there is a contractual provision that specifically states that this is possible, then they are urinating into some inclement weather

Not as far as i know just a bog standard credit agreement. This probably why they have never tried to enforce it. Any ideas about the best way to get rid of them.

Do you have the agreement handy for me to see ?
Scan it and post would be great, as I can't really offer decent advice without it..
