  • Stabbed in the back by Barclays - Help Appreciated Please

Apologies if I've posted this in the wrong forum.

Last year, due to my health, Goldfish stated that although they were reluctant to write-off my debt, they wouldn't pursue it any longer and I'd receive no further communication on the matter.

Thet confirmed this in writing - please see below.

However, when the Goldfish business was transferred to Barclays last year, Barclays started to pursue for repayment, despite me having sent them a copy of the letter (below).

Now Barclays have passed the debt to Debt Managers for them to collect on their behalf.

I telephoned Barclays today, and one of their operators actually stated that I still have to pay. She said that the phrase "not pursuing for repayment" simply means that it wouldn't be passed to a DCA so long as I was making payments of £5 per month.

What do I do now, please?

    What total Bovine Excrement.

    OK here's the plan.
1/ NEVER call these "people" again as they will feed you more untruths. Exactky where in that letter does it say to continue payments ?!
2/ CCA the carp out of DM, make them do some work for you
    3/ Sit back and relax..
