  • Shazzaw vs Triton / Green & Co.

    Hi all,

Well have had to finally wake up and smell the coffee with regards to a c.c. debt that I've been foolishly trying to ignore and now the inevitable has happened!

It's a NW c.c. with a debt of £4000 that I have been receiving many, many phone calls and letters from Triton Credit Services about which I admit I've ignored.

Saturday morning receive the letter that I guess I knew I'd be receiving from Green & Co. solicitors requesting full payment or court proceedings will commence.

Have read through CB's excellent guide re CCA's and am wondering if I should send a CCA on this to Triton or Green & Co. or both to basically get me out of the hole and see if I can get the debt passed back to NW and be able to talk to them about it (which I know I should have done in the first place).

Hoping for some help from CB and others as to what - if anything - options are available to me this late in the day??

    Many thanks in advance,

    shazza

OK time to take the bull by the horns then.

Triton are Nasty's in house DCA, so pretty toothless.
    Send them the CCA.
As for Greens, a simple dispute Notice will do the trick..

Many thanks CB - will draw up a draft Account in Dispute letter to go to Greens (unless there's one I'm missing in your guide?) and CCA Triton asap.

      Thx Ben

        No worries.
There's a bunch of dispute letters on the thread.
        Just mix and match..

          Hi CB,

Heres the Account in Dispute letter I intend to send to Green & Co. Pretty basic I appreciate but as it's only today that I have sent the CCA to Triton will this suffice whilst I await a reply from Triton and keep Green & Co at bay?

Thank you for your letter of 2009 the contents of which are noted.

I am disputing the total value of these debts with Triton Credit Services due to unlawful and unreasonable charges. As such, therefore, I consider this account to be in dispute and no further action or payment shall be made until this matter is resolved.

          thx

Change it to the Original Creditor, Nasty and you're onto a winner..

                Read my mind Wendy
I hope your thinking of reclaiming them, if there are some.
