  • Link Financial / Kearns - Charging Order - HBOS Credit Card

    Hi

I wondered if anyone could help me. This is causing me maximum stress

I am at the stage of a Charging Order + letter from Land Registry regards an old Halifax credit card totalling around £6,000

    Any advice appreciated

I've only just found out what a CCA is after reading this forum!

I'm not sure if a CCJ has been issued even!?

One thing I have found is I emailed them - info@kearns.co.uk - twice last year asking for a payback arrangement and got no reply. Could this maybe work in my favour?

Am I at too late a stage to fight this now? The Land Registry has granted me 20 extra days but I'm pretty desperate

I hate the fact companies like this pay maybe 1p in the £1 to buy the debt and then fight us for the amount

Why don't ALL debts end up in charging orders? Never known such a thing before

If a charging order has been applied for then almost certainly a court judgement has been issued against you. You should be able to obtain more information from the court office - quote the claim number.

Are you the sole owner of your property, or do you own it jointly?

I am the sole owner but all the correspondence thinks it's jointly owned

Have you checked how ownership is shown on the Land Registry title?

Don’t think there’s anything I can do anyway. Totally powerless to what Link are doing. hate the fact they probably paid 0.1% for my debt
