      Hi there . Iv had a very old bank loan left from a bitter break up, it was £16000 and over the years Iv got it down to £4000, now this could be just rubbish but a friend said I could get it written off could this be true …. In the last 3 years Iv just become an amputee so not working. Can you help me ? …

        When did you make the last payment?

        The point is that this needs to have been more than 6 years ago to make the debt time barred under the Limitation Act 1980 in terms of court action against you.
