Hello all
I have received the attached letter today. I have no recollection of ever having an Orange mobile phone contract - certainly not in the last 17 years at least! Can someone point me in the right direction of what to do?
can this company add this to my credit file? As I am due to have my mortgage fixed term end shortly and want to get a new one and do not want anything adverse on my file!

Depending on the date when the account was Defaulted, it could be that the debt has dropped off the Credit File.

If you believe an error has been made, then you need to send them a account in dispute letter,, make sure you get Proof of Postage.

They will put the account on hold whilst they investigate the account and provide evidence.

Their discount on the debt is telling.

Just to update. I spoke to my mum and she remembered me having an Orange account when I was about 20 - so over 25 years ago. I sent Opos the statute barred letter via email and have received this response. I assume I can forget about this all now?
