QDR / Lantern - 30 Days and help with Mystery Debt

So an update on this, thank you for your help! I’ve had a reply from Lantern who have stated the following, which seems to say that the debt is statute barred but because I paid off another debt (which wasn’t related to this one) so now says because it was with Lantern, it doesn’t count as Statute Barred. I don’t know how this is possible as they are two separate agreements? I’ve sent them another email saying that the debt, with the reference, is statute barred but they sent this text again.

We have been in contact with Lending Stream and they have confirmed that the last payment made to them was in January 2019. However, we can see that payments have been made to us in 2024 and therefore the account is not Stature Barred.

I don’t know what to do?

Have you made any payments? Was that for a different account?

They are probably spouting 'nonsense'.

Update with their response.

You might need to make a formal complaint with them, follow the complaints procedure on their website, update when you get a response.

Thank you for your quick response echat11 - It was a separate account! I have separate numbers that can say otherwise, it’s shocking that they can’t figure out their own admin.

I’ll write to clarify the two accounts and then follow the complaints procedure. Thank you again!
