  • Letter of claim Overdales solicitors

Good Morning all. I am new here so I apologise in advance if I have posted in the wrong forum. I am not sure where to turn and have buried my head in the sand and ignored letters. I have now received a letter of claim from Overdales solicitors. They have put it was for a credit card that I took out in Jan 2012 with Lloyds but to be honest I don't remember any credit card taken out with them in Jan 2012. I had a loan that I was paying through Stepchange until 2020 but then got into more financial difficulties because of Covid. The loan however again was not taken out in 2012. So i am not sure what my course of action should be. Could anyone offer any advice please ?

    Hi SORTMYLIFE75

    Welcome to LB

If it was taken out in 2012 and no payments has been made and no communications admitting the debt (Lloyds Credit Card) has been made, then the debt maybe Statute Barred. You could send the following letter, make sure you get Proof of Postage. See what they send back.
