  • Lowell chasing for paid debt

Hello and thank you in advance for any advice that you can give.

Earlier this year I checked my credit file and was horrified too see a debt to virgin media for an old mobile contract.

It shows with Experian as a debt to Lowell due to a debt with a telecommunications suppliers. I though I this must be virgin. (It was)

So I called virgin and settled the £53 debt.

8 weeks later this is still on my credit file and Lowell are chasing me for it.

    What should I do here?

Surely since I don't owe Lowell anything then I should not have a debt from Lowell on my credit file?
