  • Capquest provident

I've had a text message from capquest,I've sent them the statute barred template,I have just received a letter back from them stating because I had a ccj it is not statute barred, this provident debt must be over 10 years old,and no ccj on any of my credit files?

    Any advice would be welcomed.

    Hi JUCE77

There might be a CCJ that won't appear on your credit file because it's over 6 years old and has dropped off.

You can check the Register, there is a fee.

But as they haven't enforced within 6 years they will have to get the courts permission.

Request full details from them, claim number, claimant name etc. They could be fishing and you have the same name as someone who does have a CCJ against them
