  • Potentially Statue Barred??

    Hello! First time post!
I received a text message today from Intrum for a BoS credit card at £1900. I did have this card and yes I did default but this was back in 2010 and there was never a CCJ or Decree (I live in Scotland)*

I buried my head for years over my debts and finally paid them all off between 2017 and Jan this year. At the time as this debt wasn’t on my file I did not pay it.

I have called them today and they said I made a payment in 2016 which I just don’t think is true. He could not tell me who I paid it to and how. I have had no contact from them at all until today and he confirmed they have had the debt since the beginning.*

Should i send the statue barred letter or should I write to ask for the CCA agreement etc? I’m so confused.

I don’t *want to ignore as I am going for a mortgage this year and don’t want court action to pop up and ruin things.

    thank you in advance*

        Hi Mike

        Thank you for replying.*

Should I send a letter asking for proof of payment or should I send a letter asking to prove the debt first? Or just put both into the same letter?*

I wont make the mistake of calling again, will keep all in writing.*
