I’m looking for some advice. *My father died end of Jan 2020 *in his Will he named me his son as executor. The Will basically says everything passes to my mother. * He had one credit card in his name only *we contacted Capital one and they said the bereavement team would be in touch. Last week received a letter from Phillips & Cohen suggesting I call about the sum owed * The letter does state that I or anyone in the family is not solely responsible and the money should come from his estate. But if it’s all been passed to my mother and there is no “cash money” basically the only thing that has passed to her was the house which was joint owned and a car that is basically sentimental value and brother paid for his cremation as there was no funeral plan or enough money in the bank to pay for that * Just like to know where we stand legally. * Many thanks. Lee
