Nursery Fees

Part of my financial crisis last year meant I couldn't pay the boy's nursery - and after he left they got quite upset about it (as they would LOL).

Well, finally a couple of weeks ago we got a letter from a DCA. We ignored them; we already had a plan to pay the nursery at the end of Jan.

Today we have had an LBA threatening legal action unless we pay the DCA. So I've written the letters below... (oh, and enclosed a cheque to the nursery LOL)

Dear Sirs
RE: blah blah DAY NURSERY
I write in response to your recent communications. I do not acknowledge any debt to your company. I deny that I have ever entered into any arrangement with your company. I have no obligation whether financial, contractural or otherwise to your company.

You mention that you have a client, “blah blah Day Nursery”. I am aware that I have had financial obligations to that company however these are now discharged – I therefore deny that you or any other company has any cause of action against me in the matter to which you refer.

Be advised that no further correspondence will be entered into with your company by any person residing at this address regarding this matter and that any Action taken by you will be vigourously contested and defended.

Please find enclosed a guaranteed cheque in the sum of £300.25, offered in full and final settlement of our outstanding account.

Please be advised that our contractural obligation is to blah blah Day Nurseries and we will not therefore under any circumstances enter into correspondence with any third party nor make any payment to same regarding this matter.

Your payment is attached and we now consider the matter and our obligation to you closed.
