  • Charging order on home and debt agency

Appreciate advice on the following please, some 8 years back a company ( Mortimers ) acted on behalf of mbna for a credit card debt, debt because of heart problems and work stopped etc'. I am now 70 yrs and approx 8 yrs on with the said debt, at the time Mortimers said they applied for a charging order on my home, I think it could be "Restriction" order because I "joint " hold the house with wife, ( debt in my sole name ) today I received a Mortimers letter stating an independent company *( Marston's ) would be visiting my home to question me on the debt, does anyone know if I have any rights on this issue regarding already gone to court and the charging order ( actually I did' attend, it was Norhampton, health was bad, could not afford travel and so far away I would have needed to hotel there.. i live on state pension and part pay mortgage out of that so I'm in a state of worry about matters, the debt is below £3000, I believed it would be paid upon my house sale which won't be far away as being in ill health need a level accommodation, any advice would be appreciated. Thank you
