      Previously in a similar situation, I rang the creditor (nationwide) and offered 4k on a £8.2K debt on charging order, told them I was buying out ex and that was all I could afford to pay them as he was getting nothing out of property, if they didn't accept then I simply wouldn't buy it, and they would have to wait at least another 12 years for youngest child to reach 17. They accepted the £4k. Get your wife to make the offer. How much is she paying you for your share?

        Thanks for that Emerald..

        Just spoken to ex about it and it looks like we'll give that a try.

        The equity in the property is around £120k, although my share will only just about clear my debt and give me a clean slate.
