  • Problems With Sameday Cash

Hi, a while ago I took out a payday loan with SameDay Cash.co.uk. Unfortunately, I was not able to keep up with the last loan I took out with them. The matter was passed on to a Company called ChequeSpread which apparently SameDay Cash call them their trading style partner whatever that means. I agreed a payment plan for the amount of £584.26 at a rate of £100.00 per month and last payment of £84.26 in January. The first two payments were taken out with no problems via post dated cheques. However, I received a letter from SameDay Cash on the 2nd of September (one day before the second cheque was dated - very strange!), saying that I have not fully repaid the loan that I took out with SameDay Cash. They now say my balance is £520.06 which is not correct as my balance should now be £384..26 ie. £584.26 - £200.00. They now say that my account is no longer being managed by Chequespread and I should not make any payments or have any contact with them from this point on ie. 2nd September onwards. They have now passed my account on to Credit Resource Solutions to handle the account. SameDay Cash say I should telephone them which I won't do and have contacted Credit Resource Solutions via email which was ignoredto say I am disputing the amount and have also contacted SameDay Cash via email which was also ignored, to say the same.

I contacted Chequespread to ask for the remainder of the cheques to be sent back and also receipts for payments which they did.

What do I do now? I am afraid that if I send postdated cheques to Credit Resource Solutions that the same thing will happen. It looks like I will be in permanent debt as the amount is continuing to escalate. Please help as I am getting really stressed about this.

    Thank you, Cathy

    Re: Problems With Sameday Cash

Send SameDay Cash a letter, placing the account in dispute and ask for a full breakdown of what is owed. You may wish to send them a Subject Access Request also, in order to get full details of your account.

Inform them that you are willing to pay them at the agreed rate of £100 per month, as indicated by your two previous payments, but that you need to see that these sums are being credited to your account.

I would not bother with emails, they are too easy for them to ignore.

    Send a letter.

Hi, Thanks for that! How do I sort out a Subject Access Request? What happens if the amount they give stays the same? Cathy

Take a look here for details of the Data Protection Act subject access request letters.

        Legal Beagles

Regarding the sum they allege is owed, once you get a reply from them and can see how they have arrived at the figure they have given you, you will be in a better position to know what to do next.

Try not to worry about it.

            Hi,

            Update on the previous threads.

I did not hear anything once I paid the cheques to Credit Resource Solutions until about a month ago. I told the company which was connected with Credit Resource Solutions ie. AJJB Associates that I was not paying another £35 .80 as I had repaid the amount agreed with Chequespread via cheques. I had a letter from AJJB even to reduce the payment if paid Today I received a letter from another debt collection company called ScotCall Debt Collecting Services who says a doorstop call will be made in seven days - unbelieveable!! Any advice here? Cathy

              Re: Problems With Sameday Cash

Did you ever get any breakdown of the debt owing from Credit Resource Solutions? or any correspondence at all agreeing the amount owing? Have you been making payments up till now? Where has this figure of 35.80 come from?

              Sorry for so many questions.

Send a "prove it" letter to both AJJB (are they a DCA, and are they also chasing you, sorry I'm a bit confused here) and Snotcall.

Doorstep collection is just a threat, they won't call, but send them a letter, the one from Curlys stuff about "you don't give them persmission etc should do it."
              Is no longer here

                Re: Problems With Sameday Cash

Hi, I only had correspondence from Chequespread which gave me the amount owed by SameDay Cash. I paid this amount via cheques and this is paid off. However, Credit Resource Solutions and AJJB Associates (also part of Credit Resource Solutions), and ScotCall Debt Collecting Services say I owe £35.80. I told AJJB Associates I will not pay this amount as paid off original debt. Can I be chased by the two companies for this amount I do not owe? As a point of principle I will not pay something I do not owe. Any advice greatly appreciated, thanks, Cathy
