Let them "sell" this debt as that would simply make things alittle easier.

My Rules for dealing with DCA's apply equally well here:

First Rule: NEVER talk to them on the phone as they will say anything to secure payment. Keep EVERYTHING in writing as this will supply an excellent paper trail should the need arise.

Second Rule: Admit NOTHING. Now bear in mind that DCA's are simply commission based "agents" and are looking for any admissions that they can use as leverage. It is the DCA's job to prove the debt is owed and valid, not yours to do their job for them.

Third Rule: Always deal with DCA's in a professional manner. Let them rant and rave and make all the threats. They will come unstuck before you do.

Fourth Rule: Stay cool and calm. Yes there is a debt to pay, but on your terms.

Your CCA is in play and until they comply there is NOWT they can do.

We have today received a reply from a 'Vice President'!! Saying "Please accept my apologies for the delay in responding to you: however, our investigations are taking longer than anticipated. We will issue a response by 1st August 2008"

The cheques for the CCA letter and the SAR letter have not been presented yet??

Hi, we have now received a response to our SAR letter. they have enclosed a statement showing 3 late fee charges. They also returned our £10.00 cheque saying 'We have provided this information to you free of charge on this occasion'.

Please can you advise our next step - thanks.

We are still paying the £15 monthly, they have stopped phoning and we have not received any correspondence regarding selling on the debt, are they obliged to tell us? Do we need to do anything further at this moment?

We are sending a cheque every month but MBNA are not sending us a monthly statement , do you think there is any significance in this?

Still not receiving monthly statements but we are still sending payments, should we be contacting them - need some advice please?
