Capital one default

Hi,

I have a default from Capital One dating back to 2009. I'm in the process of attempting to re-build my credit rating. On both Experian and Equifax the payment status codes go from: 1,2,3,4,Default. Is this correct because I assumed it went from 1-8 where 8 is the default.

Could anyone clear this up for me?

It really makes no difference much depends on the creditors style of reporting to the CRA's and their regime for defaulting delinquent accounts.
