  • Crap One round 2 (or is it 3?)

Wasn't going to bother with this as its only £40, but in the absence of anything else to raise extra funds am scraping the bottom of the barrel.

    Prelim going in today's post.

Re: Crap One round 2 (or is it 3?)

Thought I'd better resurrect this. This is actually an old closed account of OH's

Never sent the prelim till December. Had a reply saying they couldn't match up the account number. Replied to them giving correct account number. On both the prelim and second letter I'd put a line on the bottom saying something to the effect of "as this account is now closed, please send a cheque made payable to Mr WendyB at the above address"
Have had a reply this morning - it's an absolute killer, which I reproduce verbatim below.

    Dear Mr xx

Thank you for contacting us about your Capital One account.

Unfortunately, I'm unable to send you a cheque. Because your account isn't in credit.

Usual blurb about if you need any further help, etc. Bla blah blah (this bit is not verbatim lol)

    Yours sincerely

    Sven Lagerberg

Not only have they missed the point completely with the Prelim, they need a good slap from the Grammar Queens!

Oh well, I shall send them a reply, when I can think of a suitably cutting one. Is this their new approach -be obtuse and hope I give up? Or is Sven just thick? Have already won two bouts with them, you'd think the surname and address might jump out at them by now wouldn't you lol.
