Responded with the 'are you aware your client has unlawfully rescinded' letter and eagerly await their response! :bored:

Maybe, OH will get one of those 'special' letters also.

Monthly statements stopped a few months back for halifaxand I do not respond to RW for BC or Halifax after an initial ding dong when both creditors backed off for 30 days.

Luckily enough I now also have Iqor phoning 'on behalf of' Halifax but they are also ignored.

        Re: !!!!special Invitation!!!!!

Just had another call from Iqor

'Can I speak with 'X' please?'

        'Not available-can I take a message?'

'Ask X to ring ************' please'

'And whom shall I say called?'

        'Can't tell you that'

        'Why not--is it a secret?'

        'No'

'Is it MI5 or MI6 then?'

        'No'

        'Are you selling something?'

        'No'

        'Who are you then?'

'Under data protection I can't tell you'

'Really-can you tell me whereabouts in the Data Protection Act I can look that up?'

        'Er..No'

'So you want me to tell X to phone a company that cannot disclose its name and is ringing on an unlisted number?'

        'Yes please'

        'Nah,I don't think so--bye'

            Re: !!!!special Invitation!!!!!

I am having some fun with IQOR at the moment.

This letter has just gone off to them today.

I am writing in confirmation of my telephone conversation with your Employee, Miss xxxxxxxx, on 21st September 2010.

I do not acknowledge any debt to your Company and I have repeatedly explained the situation concerning a frozen bank account which I may, or may not hold with the Halifax PLC, which may or may not be the subject of a stayed County Court claim.

Despite repeated requests to desist your Employees continue to telephone me, on a daily basis, during my normal working hours and sometimes several times per day. The telephone calls always follow the same pattern, your Employees identify themselves by saying that they are calling on behalf of Halifax PLC and require me to advise various personal details so that they can confirm my identity and discuss this matter with me. Your Employees always refuse to provide details of the Company they are actually employed by and usually refuse to provide their own name. I therefore always refuse to provide the requested personal details.

I wish to advise that, with immediate effect, I refuse to allow any further, free of charge, telephone calls from your Company to any of the telephone numbers that your Company use to contact me. I consider that any further calls made to those numbers by your Company, at whatever time of the day or on whatever day of the week they occur, are requests for me to consider providing your Company with a service.

On each occasion that I am required to consider a request to provide your Company with a service I will issue an invoice for £50.00 irrespective of whether I actually provide your Company with a service or not. The invoice is in respect of a charge for my consideration of the service provision.

Each invoice will be payable within 7 days.

I am going to watch this thread with a huge amount of interest!

I posted a little thread a while ago wondering on what grounds you could start billing a DCA.

I thought it would be a fantastic bit of justice to engage a DCA to chase a DCA for a debt!

                    Re: !!!!special Invitation!!!!!

I was contacted by a DCA chasing an Egg debt with a prior dispute with the OC i.e. Egg. I wrote to them with the prior dispute template letter and they followed with a couple of other letters before deciding to give up. I invoiced them for some costs and I actually made a "collection telephone call" to their office and was promptly told that they would not pay.

I decided not to chase in the courts in case the magistrate asked me if I owed the original debt and made me pay the whole lot back!

I think that I have read somewhere in a thread on here that you can claim costs at a specific hourly rate, but cannot remember what it is.
                    Thanks!

The rate for a LIP is £9.25 ph for costs you have reasonably incurred during court proceedings AFAIK.
