  • MBNA and Harrassment: The OFT want to hear from you

"The OFT has asked that each signatory of the petition contact the OFT confirming they signed the petition or would have if they found it in time and limit the complaint to specifics with a summary of the behaviour of MBNA while in dispute.

"As the Creator of the E-Petition, we would be grateful if you could provide us with the contact details of the other signatories in order that we can contact them individually for details of their complaints about their experiences with MBNA if they have not already complained to the OFT. Alternatively, I would be grateful if you could consider asking each signatory to write to me directly with this information. We can then consider the details of their complaints in addition to yours and any other complaints we may receive about MBNA."

Please therefore ask everyone to send an email headed

MBNA harrassment while account in disupute.

    Please email to the following:

    Alan.Bates@oft.gsi.gov.uk, Henry.Aitchison@oft.gsi.gov.uk

Please respond to this if appropriate."

This was the original petition which is now closed.
Petition to: Request a special investigation by the FSA and OFT into the harrassment by consumers and their families through the debt collection practices of MBNA and specifically the practices related to telephone calls and defaults while in dispute. | Number10.gov.uk

The originator of the petition has sent me a private message to make sure I get this on the forums:
"The OFT has asked that each signatory of the petition contact the OFT confirming they signed the petition or would have if they found it in time and limit the complaint to specifics with a summary of the behaviour of MBNA while in dispute.

I would add that if you have been suffering from Harrassment and MBNA I would still email the above mentioned names.
