  • Default Notice Valid ?

    Hi everyone

I was sent a Default Notice by Royal Bank of Scotland for a personal credit card account. The account is currently in dispute as I sent them a CCA request and they replied with an application form which didn't have any prescribed terms on it.
So my question is does the Default Notice look valid ? The Notice is dated Wed 15th April and I received it on Saturday 18th April. They have allowed me 17 days after the date stated.I know they have to give you 14 days but does this include weekends ?
If it is invalid and they terminate the account what should I do next ?

    many thanks
    Lee

    Re: Default Notice Valid ?

Sorry this seems to have been missed.

It appears to be a valid default notice. The one thing I'm not sure about is where they've stated 17days from date of posting rather than giving an actual date.

Someone will be able to confirm this either way tomorrow.

Thanks for the reply I wasn't sure if Saturday and Sunday counted, or if it was just working days.
I will wait for any other replies.

      cheers

Welllll, without a compliant agreement they can send anything they want, but this makes any default toilet paper.

              Re: Default Notice Valid ?

Thank you both for the replies

The CCA they sent me appears to be unenforceable, as I can't see any prescribed terms within the four corners.

I will wait for their next move

              regards

When it contains all the prescribed terms, apr's, repayment examples etc etc and also has the T&C's attached?
