  • uNIQUE CREDIT CARD APPLICATION PROBLEM

    Hi,

I have a problem I need urgent help with. I've faced many problems in life over the years. Late last year I was able to get myself in to accommodation after being homeless. With the pandemic the job market is dead. My intention was to start a business online.

I applied for a NEWDAY credit card a month ago. It was approved. with a relatively small credit limit. I then applied for a secondary card with Newday of another product they offer. It was also approved. When I received the card I had issues activating it only to realise that my surname had a typo. I have no idea how this happened. I called NEWDAY up to update my details. I then applied for a number of cards. The applications had typos in my surname. Some were approved and some declined. I never had any bad intention. The idea was to get in touch with NEWDAY and simply have my surname fixed on the account. I didn't get the opportunity to do this and all my cards got suspended and an internal investigation was started.

This is giving me a lot of anxiety and sleepless nights. I do not know what to do or where this has the potential to lead. I just wanted to use the cards to support my entrepreneurial endeavours and I always intended to honour paying for what I use.

    Please help!

Hi, thank you. I'm relatively new to the forum and I'm not well versed on how things work here. Do I need to do anything specific to attract the right input in tot he issue I've raised? Best.

Multiple applications will raise suspicions, as will the use of a wrong name.

On the basis of the information you have supplied It is unlikely to go further, unless you have failed to keep up repayments on any credit you have used.
Multiple searches might show up on your credit report
